Robert S. Corn was appointed to the Board of Visitors on January 1, 2018 by Governor Ralph Northam and was reapointed to a second four-year term on July 1, 2021. He currently serves on the Board's Academic & Research Advancement, Athletics, Audit & Compliance, Executive and Governance Committees, and is Chair of the Student Enhancement & Engagement Committee.
Corn is the President of Landmark Strategies, Inc., a national issue advocacy, grassroots engagement and campaign voter contact firm. In his position, Corn works with organizations to help engage their members in the electoral and legislative process. He has consulted on the campaigns of numerous current and former elected officials serving at the local, state and federal level.
Corn received a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Southern California in 1982 and his MBA from the College of William and Mary in 1995.
Corn resides in Springfield, Virginia, with his wife Eileen Filler-Corn, Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates. They have two children and one is graduate of Old Dominion University.
